Welcome to the Columbia River Gorge
The Husum Riverside B&B is an historic rural setting on the banks of the White Salmon River, a world class whitewater river flowing into the Columbia River within the Columbia River Gorge and close to the towns of Hood River, OR and White Salmon, WA. Our location is near many wineries, a diverse array of recreation and miles of beautiful scenery to explore. The towns of White Salmon and Hood River offer an array of fine dining, art galleries, boutique shops and are located only 12 minutes away.
Formerly the site of the Husum Hotel, founded at the turn of the century, the 100 yr old brick ice house is the centerpiece of the property. There is a large brick patio between the main B&B building and the ice house that is surrounded by flowering vines, potted flowers, and flowering trees. Our gardens, including a fish pond and quaint chicken manor, are breathtaking and charming. Each of the rooms are European styled with antiques and ar'moires, featuring queen sized beds with private baths and private entrances to the outside. Four of the rooms are in the main B&B building and the fifth room is a private, completely secluded wing of the main house with a private outdoor entrance and bath. All the rooms have air conditioning, individually controlled wall heaters, HD Satellite TVs. We have free WiFi.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, our Ice House Cafe and Bar features a lunch, dinner and to go menu with a large beer and wine list (see the Dining page). With our commercially licensed facility, we have the perfect setting to host your intimate event, with patio seating up to 60 and additional garden seating up to 100 total guests . We have full catering services on and off site and can prepare an array of gourmet menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will never walk away from breakfast, the restaurant, or one of our events hungry or thirsty. Local musicians performs on a weekly basis during the summer when the restaurant is open. We feature acoustical, jazz, and world beat or ethnic music.
