About the Inn
Formerly the site of the Husum Hotel and founded at the turn of the century, the 100-year-old brick ice house is the centerpiece of the property and has been converted into a charming wine bar. Vintage trees and gardens surround the property with fruit trees, rose gardens, rock gardens, a pond garden, and a diverse array of old trees. Our lovely European-styled brick patio seats 60. It is a secluded and intimate refuge from your busy world, full of beautiful flowers, a fountain, and outdoor music.
The French country kitchen opens onto the patio, ideal for special events or garden dining. In addition to the restaurant which operates from Memorial Day to Labor Day, we have full catering service and can prepare an array of gourmet menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We specialize in locally produced meats, wild local mushrooms, cheeses, fruits and vegetables and in regional seafood, wines and beers. Our foods are organic, fresh, healthy and delicious. You will never walk away from breakfast or one of our events hungry or thirsty.
Event pricing: Weekend events are priced at $1950 which included a two-night stay in all the rooms, the use of the patio which seats 60 and the garden extension which expands seating capacity to 100 (with room for a dance floor and band), table and linen service, the use of the B&B informal serving ware, and bar service. Weekday events are heavily discounted so ask about those. Catering, table service, beer and wine service and choice of serving ware outside what we can provide are negotiated and based on number in the party, menu choice, and serving style selected. We can also provide off site catering.
